The Wanderlust Tag

It's the final day of Travel Week and I hope you have enjoyed all of the travel themed posts this week. Today to finish out travel week I have completed the Wanderlust Tag, I hope you enjoy!

1. Your most treasured passport stamp?
I would have to say my most treasured passport stamp is my first one from Athens, Greece. I was 16 years old on a month long student group trip through Europe where I didn't really know anyone. It was the first time I'd ever been out of the country and it was the trip that fueled my wanderlust soul.

2. Can you recite your passport number from memory if asked?
Not at all, is that bad? I should probably learn it for future trips.

3. Preferred method of travel; planes, trains, or automobiles?
I'm actually a car person which is probably rare but I grew up going on trips with my family driving across the country. I will say though I do need planes to get me where I want to go most of the time and trains to help me get around quicker, especially in Europe. So I guess my answer is all of the above.

4. Top 3 travel items?
Firstly, a Camera to capture all the moments you never want to forget. Secondly, comfortable shoes because traveling means a lot of walking. Lastly, an open mind because when you travel it is so important to immerse yourself in the culture and try new things!

5. Hostel or Hotel?
I would have to say hotel but I have always wanted to try Airbnb or HomeAway. I like traveling to a new place but feeling more like a local than a tourist.

6. Are you a repeat visitor or do you explore new places?
I have been a repeat visitor a few times but mostly I go some place new before I go back to somewhere I've already been. I love exploring new places so much more.

7. Do you read up on your destination (culture, history, safety) or do you wing it?
I always research where ever I'm going because I don't want to miss a thing while I'm there!

8. Favorite travel website?
I just love to read travel blogs and see where people go, what they do, and where they eat. Travel blogs inspire me so much and I also find them really helpful because they're written by real people and their experiences in different travel destinations.

9. Where would you recommend a friend to visit? Name city and why?
Well, I'm going to make a few suggestions depending on where someone would want to travel. If you're traveling to California, I recommend Yosemite National Park. I'm lucky to only live a few hours away from Yosemite and I have visited many times. I would have to say if you're going to visit, go in the winter after a big snowfall. It is absolutely beautiful covered in snow! If you're traveling to America, I recommend Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone is the greatest national park in America and the best part is the wildlife. I recommend going in the spring when there are less crowds and you can see more animals. If you're traveling to Europe, I recommend Italy, specifically Rome. (You thought I was going to say Paris didn't you? Well, Paris is my favorite place in the world but it's not for everyone.) Rome just has so much to offer for everyone. There is so much history literally around every corner and the food is amazing! You absolutely have to go to Rome someday. Lastly, if you just want to go somewhere tropical, I recommend Turks and Caicos. I have been to a lot of tropical places and Turks and Caicos is my absolute favorite.

10. You're leaving tomorrow, money is no option, where are you going?
I would go to Asia! I would love to explore places like Japan, China, and Thailand.

Now that I've finished answering all of these questions, I just want to stop what I'm doing and go on a new adventure somewhere in the world! Let me know where your favorite places to travel are in the comments!
