Packing for any vacation is always a difficult task, especially when picking out what makeup to bring. When I was packing for Puerto Rico, I told myself to only bring what I really needed and knew I would use. There was no need to bring my entire makeup collection when I was just going to an island in the Caribbean where I would spend majority of my time lying on the beach. So here are the products I chose to bring along in my beauty bag.
For my base I decided to keep it light since I wouldn't be wearing makeup everyday. For foundation I brought my Chanel Perfection Lumiére Velvet because it gives just enough coverage and has a satin finish so it withstands high humidity. To conceal I brought the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter to cover dark circles and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to cover any spots. To set everything I brought my Bobbi Brown Sheer Finished Pressed Powder.
I wanted to keep my eye makeup simple, so I decided to just bring the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette because its compact and comes with a good variety of neutral colors. I also brought my mini Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold. For my eyebrows I brought my Anastasia Brow Wiz which I have been testing out the past few weeks. Then for my lashes I brought my trusty Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
For blush, I brought my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush palette because it has three perfect blush colors: pink, coral, and mauve. For bronzer, I chose to bring my Soap & Glory Solar Powder because it has a dark matte side and a light shimmery side which can be used on their own or mixed together. It's no secret I'm a lip product junkie, but I restrained myself to just chose a neutral lip option that could go with everything. I chose my Rimmel Exaggerate Automatic Lip Liner in Eastend Snob and my Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Aurora. To set my face to and help withstand the high humidity I brought the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.
I also brought a few extra products just incase I needed them. I brought the Benefit Porefessional to prime my face and the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion to prime my eyes just incase I needed my makeup to withstand a long period of time. I also brought The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer if I wanted to add a little more highlight to my face. Lastly, I had to bring a bold lip and decided to bring my Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in Exotic Island, the name was just too fitting!
