September Beauty Favorites

Tuesday, September 30, 2014

I love the month of September. The beginning is still warm with the end of summer, but the end is crisp with autumn on the horizon. To me September is not only the month with my birthday but also the start of the fall season and the season of football. Over this past month I have had a few stand out favorites that I wanted to share with you all.

This blush is limited edition at MAC in their Novel Romance collection. The photo doesn't do the blush justice and even just looking at it in the pan you would think it wouldn't give off that great of a color, but it does. The color is a really soft, dusty, romantic pink. It's perfect for days when you don't want a bright blush on your cheeks, but you still want a bit of soft color to them. I think this shade would look nice on all skin tones but especially on those with fair skin. If you can still get your hands on this blush I would highly recommend it.

If you are just going to buy one eye shadow palette in your life time, this is the palette you must buy! This is pretty much the only thing I've been wearing on my eyes all month. This palette is the perfect mix of neutral colors, with four matte shades and five shimmer shades. I think that this palette is perfect for those who might not know what shades go well together to create the perfect look. This palette comes with a simple how-to guide that gives examples on how to create both day and night looks for your eyes. The palette is compact so its ideal for traveling and on the go. With this palette I find myself using all of the colors, but I would have to say that my favorite go-to colors are Push-Up and Cashmere Bunny.

Oh my god if I could lick this body butter out of the container and eat it I totally would, but I'm sure it doesn't taste as good as it smells. Raspberries are my favorite fruit and this body butter makes you smell like you have rubbed actual raspberries all over yourself. Besides it smelling delicious, I love this body butter because it just sinks right into your skin and hydrates it really well. My favorite time to use it is right after I get out of the shower to lock in all of the moisture into my skin.

This lip gloss has been my bright lip of choice all month. For some of you that are a little hesitant with using a bright color, don't worry it looks a lot brighter in the tube than when applied to the lips. The actual shade is more of a toned down berry pink. The formula of the lip gloss is pretty long lasting and isn't sticky at all so that is a plus. Some of you might recognize this color from the post I did on the makeup I wore for the One Direction concert, which goes to show how much I've been loving this color. If you haven't read that post yet I'll link it here.

This is hands down my favorite lipstick ever! If you just buy one thing at MAC, buy this lipstick. It's a lustre finish which is in-between a cream sheen and a satin. I believe Syrup can suit all skin tones and can be worn all year round. It's like a "you're lips but better" shade but with a more berry undertone. You can always find this lipstick in my purse and if I don't know what shade of lipstick to wear one day or am in a hurry, this is the shade I'll always go for.

What have you been loving this month?
