Makeup brushes are a very important part of any makeup routine and for this post I wanted to share with you all my top 10 makeup brushes.
First of all, what I love the most about the Real Techniques brushes is that they are synthetic, reasonably priced, and are amazing makeup brushes. The Expert Face Brush is one of my favorite foundation brushes. I use it mostly when I'm using a full coverage foundation because the brush is dense and blends foundation perfectly.
The Real Techniques Buffing Brush is another one of my favorite foundation brushes. It is a part of the Core Collection, so unfortunately it can only be bought in a set, but it's absolutely worth it. I like to use this brush on days when I want to put my foundation on quickly or when I'm wearing a lighter foundation. Like its name, it really buffs the foundation in effortlessly.
The Blush Brush by Real Techniques is the ideal every use brush. You can use this brush for blush, bronzer, and powder. I use it mostly for bronzer but if I'm in a hurry instead of switching brushes I'll just use this one to do multiple things. If you're just starting out with makeup, I would highly recommend this brush.
This is the brush that lives in my purse and I never leave the house without. The Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush is perfect to use with powder when you need to touch up your makeup on the go.
If I had to pick a brush I can't live without, it would be this one. The Tapered Blending brush by Sigma is my favorite blending brush to use with eye makeup. It's not too big or too small and is fluffy enough that is blends eye shadow seamlessly.
The Sigma Pencil brush is one of the only brushes I reach for when blending eye shadow under my lower lash line. It's so small and precise that it can blend anything, whether it be eyeliner, eye shadow, or a cream shadow. This brush can also be used to help build up shadow in the outer corner of the eye, through the crease, or on the brow bone.
There is a reason why MAC's 217 Blending Brush is such a cult favorite. This brush really is a remarkable makeup brush and I'd have to say it's the best eye shadow brush I own. This brushes can do or blend anything. If you are going to buy just one eye shadow brush, you need to buy this one.
This Wing Liner brush by Zoeva has quickly become my favorite eye liner brush. It's small with a perfect winged cut to the bristles, so it helps making winged liner so much easier. I like to use this brush with an eye shadow, specifically a dark brown shade, to create a small winged eye liner to complete my look.
When they say "soft" they mean it! This brush is one of the softest eye shadow brushes ever. It's a medium tapered brush, so its perfect for blending eye shadow in the crease. I like to use this brush to softly build up the crease or just sweep eye shadow all across the lid.
Zoeva's Luxe Soft Definer brush is very similar to the MAC 217. It is shaped the same, looks the same, and feels the same, so I do use this brush in similar ways that I use the MAC 217. What I love to use this brush mostly for is to blend out cream eye shadow. I find that it blends cream eye products seamlessly and if I'm in a hurry to blend out my eye shadow, I reach for this brush.
