2 Weeks with No Makeup

2 weeks with no makeup... to most people that doesn't seem too hard or abnormal, but to a beauty guru like myself 2 weeks with no makeup is a challenge. During the beginning of November, my skin wasn't doing great. It had many dry patches where the skin was flaking away and had many oily blemishes that seemed like would never go away. Overall my skin was just irritated and no matter what I tried, whether it be changing up my skincare routine, using face masks, or trying to spot treat my skin, I couldn't get it under control. The only thing left for me to do was to stop. Stop trying to fight my skin and stop trying to fix it myself. So I decided to go 2 weeks makeup free and just do a simple skincare routine. I knew my skin needed time to breathe and to heal itself. The last thing my skin needed was me irritating it any further. As the 2 weeks went by my skin slowly got better. The dry patches seemed to heal itself and the oily blemishes started to disappear. My skin was on track to making a full recovery and is now better then ever. If you are having trouble with your skin and nothing you do seems to work, I would suggest doing as I did and give your skin a break. Just think about yourself, when life gets too stressful and you feel overwhelmed, what do you do? You take a break. You walk away and give yourself time to heal. You should treat your skin the same way, because like they say, time really does heal all wounds.
