October Beauty Favorites

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Another month has come and gone. It's hard to believe there is only two more months left in 2014. Is it just me, or is it as you get older the years go by faster and faster? October was such an exciting and unforgettable month filled with so many good memories. I wanted to share with you all the stand out beauty favorites I have been loving during the month of October.

This past month I have been loving my new Zoeva brushes! Ever since I heard about the Zoeva brand, I have been yearning to add some of them to my collection. For my birthday, I decided to purchase some for myself. (I know I'm lame, but hey as Tom and Donna from Parks and Rec would say, "Treat Yo Self!") I purchased the Rose Golden Luxury Set which comes with 8 essential brushes. What I love about this set is that it has all the brushes you need to do all of your makeup, so if you're in need of a good brush set I would highly recommend this one. I also purchased the Luxe Highlight brush, which works great as a contour brush, and the Luxe Soft Crease brush, which is one of the best eye blending brushes I own.

Last year when Benefit launched this new blush it was the talk of the beauty community. There were a lot of mixed reviews about the product, but I decided to purchase it anyways and I have loved it ever since! Rockateur is my staple fall and winter blush. It is the perfect soft rose gold color and goes great with any eye look.

I have loved this Revlon foundation for a long time now. If I know I'm going to be out all day and need a foundation that will last through anything, this is what I reach for. This is a medium to full coverage foundation, so it can be sheered out or built up. I use the normal to dry skin version because I find that is sits on my skin the best, but they also have an oily to combination skin version. The Revlon Colorstay foundation is one of the best drugstore foundations out there and if you haven't tried it yet, you really should!

So many beauty brands started launching their holiday sets this past month. While in Sephora a few weeks ago, I saw that Laura Mercier had come out with this set of mini versions of their Cavier Sticks. I love to use cream eye shadows sticks so much more than regular powder eye shadows and these are some of the best I have tried. The product is creamy and glides on your lids so easily. They blend out nicely and have excellent staying power. I know once I run out of these minis I will have to buy the full sizes!

What were you loving the most during the month of October?
