It feels like just yesterday it was the beginning of September, summer was still in full swing, and I was 23. But in a blink of an eye September has come to an end, summer is over, and I am now 24. I absolutely love the month of September, not just because it's my birthday month, but because September always holds this possibility of a fresh start. Throughout the month I have discovered and loved many new beauty products, so here are my favorites from the month of September!
Beauty Blender
I know, I'm super late on the beauty blender bandwagon, but in my defense I did try it around two years ago, hated it, and somehow ruined it to the point that I had to throw it away. Now I'm a big believer in second chances so I decided to pick up a new one and oh my gosh I don't know how I've lived without this all my life! This tiny pink egg shaped sponge is pure magic. It gives the most flawless finish to my foundation and concealer that a brush could never achieve. If you haven't tried the beauty blender yet you totally must because you don't know what you're missing!
Foundation Combination: Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
I firstly want to start off by saying that I have combination skin, which basically means that my skin is both oily and dry at the same time. There are days where my skin is so oily that my foundation is just sliding off my face, but at the same time my skin is so dry that it's cracking and peeling. I know my skin is crazy. Most days, especially drier skin days, I just wear my Dior Diorskin Nude BB Cream because its light but still has a decent amount of coverage and lasts well throughout the day. If I need a more full coverage foundation or my skin is extra oily, I wear my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation because it has a buildable coverage with a satin finish that controls the shine on my skin. Over this past month, instead of having to guess what my skin was going to be like each day when choosing my foundation, I chose to mix them together and the results were perfect. The combination of the two foundations combated my combination skin perfectly to create a beautiful base each day. I do still love to use each foundation individually, but together they're flawless.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anna
I have had my eye on this lipstick for so long that when I finally decided to order it I felt like the Sephora package couldn't get to my house fast enough. Anna is the perfect lipstick shade for the transition into the fall season. It is a bruised dusty mauve color and it reminds me of something Kylie Jenner would wear. This lipstick formula is super creamy, goes onto the lips perfectly in one swipe because it's so pigmented, and it dries to a satiny matte finish that wears surprisingly well throughout the day. I wore it to work one day where I ate my breakfast, was drinking water, talking a ton, and ate my lunch until I finally realized that my lipstick was either probably gone or looked like absolute crap. When I went to the bathroom to check it still looked good just ever so slightly faded. If you're looking for a high end good quality lipstick, then I definitely recommend the NARS Audacious lipstick line, especially the color Anna.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
If I had to pick the most luxury cult beauty product I own that I probably don't need but absolutely have to have, it would be my Oribe Dry Texturizing spray. There is a reason that this spray has such a cult following and it's because it works. This spray not only adds texture, but it also adds volume, gives the effect of a dry shampoo and the hold of a hairspray. If you're looking to achieve the most flawless supermodel hair without even trying, then you need the Oribe Dry Texturizing spray in your life. I was lucky enough to actually get both the travel and full size of this product as a gift, which I am forever grateful for but I'm going to be so sad when I run out because I'm already so in love with this product!
