From 2014 With Love

Wednesday, December 31, 2014

2014 was a big year for me. I challenged myself, graduated from college, and travel back to the places I love most in the world. Here are my highlights of 2014 and the parts of my life that made this year a memorable one.

100 Happy Days Challenge
During the beginning of the year, I discovered the 100 Happy Days challenge. The challenge is very simple, can you be happy for 100 days in a row? The creator of the challenge said, "I believe that being happy is a choice and everyone can be happy just by appreciating little things in life one has instead of engaging in the constant chase for ever rising internal and external expectations, which leaves no time for being happy." Well, from March 8, 2014 through June 15, 2014 I posted on Instagram each day something that made me happy. Above you can see all 100 of my photos from the challenge. I inspired a few of my friends to take on the challenge too which gave me a lot more motivation throughout the 100 days. I loved seeing their posts everyday and browsing the hashtag #100happydays just to see what made people happy that day. By the end of the challenge the most important thing I learned was that every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day!

Graduating from San Diego State University

After 54 classes and 5 years of hard work, I finally graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in the areas of Art, Theatre, and Recreation and Tourism Management. This was definitely one of my proudest achievements of my life and I will never forget the feeling of walking across that stage at graduation and being handed my degree.

One Day in Paris, The City I Love

Paris, la ville que j'aime et détient la clé de mon cœur... Je ai un rêve d'une vie parisienne pour moi!
Paris, the city that I love and holds the key to my heart... I have a dream of a Parisian life for me! There is no place better in the world then Paris, and there is no place I would rather be, even for just one day. I left me heart in Paris six years ago, and I thought I would go back to retrieve it. Once I got there, I realized that Paris was where my heart belonged. So I left my heart there again knowing that no matter where I am at in the world, Paris will always be waiting for me.

2 Weeks in England

Spending two weeks in England with my family was one of the best parts of my year. From exploring all of London, going to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour: The Making of Harry Potter, seeing the magic of Stonehenge, visiting where Shakespeare lived, and touring many other parts of England. It was a trip filled with so many memories and I can't wait to go back again someday.

I hope your 2014 was filled with happy memories and that 2015 brings you everything you wish!
