A Walk Down Memory Lane

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

With there being 5 Christmas trees in our house, you can say that we have a lot of ornaments that all have a memory attached to them. I have chosen to share with you all a few of my favorite ornaments that hold some of the most special memories in my heart.

My favorite ornament is this one that I made when I was 4 years old in preschool. It makes me so happy that my mom has kept it all these years and she always lets me put it on the tree. This ornament really holds a special place in my heart.

101 Dalmatians is my favorite Disney movie and ever since I was little I have always loved looking at this ornament hanging on the Christmas tree.

As you might have figured out from previous posts, there is a special place in my heart for Disneyland. We got this ornament in 2005 during the 50th celebration of Disneyland being open. When I look at this ornament, I think of that year and all the wonderful memories I had at the happiest place on earth.

Spending 5 years of my life at San Diego State University means that I have made so many memories there. When I look at this ornament all the memories from my time at college come rushing back to me. Whether the memories are good or bad, this ornament always makes me smile.

Our dog Sydney absolutely loved Christmas. She would gaze up at the tree and all the decorations with such awe and knew that Christmas morning she had a stocking full of gifts under the tree that Santa had left for her. Every year since she passed Christmas hasn't been the same without her, but every time I look at this ornament I know that Sydney is always with us in our hearts.

I hope you enjoyed this small trip down memory lane with me.

P.S. Here's my little helper Cooper in his festive Christmas sweater!
